Dryopteris Koidzumiana Koidzuma's Wood Fern
Koidzuma’s wood fern is highly regarded for its intensely colorful copper-red new growth. The dramatic color change from Spring to Fall has earned it the name ‘Chamelion Autumn Fern.’ Fronds are upright and pointed. Originating from warm forest regions of Japan, it may be slow to emerge in cooler temperate climates of North America.
Best color in light shade, but will perform in full shade.
Enjoys regular water in loamy soil.
