Hydrangea Quercifolia Queen of Hearts
‘Queen of Hearts’ was developed from the 1998 hybridization of Oakleaf
cultivars ‘Snow Queen’ and ‘Pee Wee’.
In early Summer, ‘Queen of Hearts’ produces an over-abundance of large, 9″, white. upright inflorescences. Flowers appear approximately 7 to 10 days later than standard Oakleaf varieties and slowly age to a deep pink. Inflorescences remain attractive after other varieties have faded.
New leaves are a dark green, aging to a rustic, mahogany-red.
Prefers full to partial sun, well drained, humitic soil, and regular water.
Pollinator friendly.
