Taxus x Media Densiformis
‘Densiformis’ is a female, semi-dwarf, dense and spreading cultivar, typically growing in a mound to 3-4′ tall, and spreading to 5-7′. Lustrous, dark green, thin-needled foliage sets off the very showy cones – scarlet red berries. Taxus x media hybrid cultivars are crosses between Japanese yews (Taxus cuspidata) and English yews (Taxus baccata).
Very tolerant of most soil types & sun orientations, but will not tolerate standing water.
