Viburnum Awabuki Chindo

  • JC Raulston Arboretum

‘Chindo’ is a vigorous growing evergreen producing an abundance of sweetly fragranced, showy flowers in late Spring, followed by ornamental red berries. Wildlife love these when they ripen black in the Fall. The dense, lustrous, dark green leaves make for a substantial hedge, or formidable background shrub.
Prefers partial to full sun, in well drained humitic soil, with regular water.
Somewhat deer resistant after established.
Wildlife & pollinator friendly.
