Arctostaphylos densiflora Howard McMinn

A woody broadleaf evergreen shrub native to the Pacific coast.  Glossy green leaves narrow to a point, with smooth mahogany bark, and white to light pink pendulous bell shaped clusters of flowers favored by pollinators. Very low water needs, long lived and dependable, requires acid soils, and tolerates clay-loam with good drainage. Sun to light shade, up to 8’ height and 10’ spread.
