Lead Time

Minimum of seven business days lead time to select and assemble plants, book transportation and complete necessary paperwork, i.e Phyto-sanitary certificates.

Freight Damage

Briggs Nursery will not accept responsibility for plants damaged in transit, unless shipped on a Briggs Nursery truck. Apparent or suspected damage must be noted at time of delivery on the Bill of Lading in the presence of the carrier’s representative. It is then your responsibility to immediately file a claim with the transportation carrier, and to notify us so we can help resolve the claim.

Shortage or Unsatisfactory Material

Examine and count all plants promptly upon delivery. Submit a written claim within three working days after arrival of your shipment or sooner. Include our order number, delivery date, variety, quantity and reason for claim. Follow up with a phone call or fax to your sales representative. Please hold all questionable stock in its original containers until your claim has been resolved. Filing a claim does not release you from full payment of your order within the terms of your account. Claims for shortages, filed late, may not be honored.

At the discretion of Briggs Nursery, approved claims will be adjusted by crediting your account, replacing the plant material, or by refund.
