Sporobolus heterolepis Tara

  • Roy Diblik

‘Tara’ is a compact version of Prairie Dropseed. Its fine-textured, green foliage grows in a tight, vase shape. In late Summer, airy, scented seed heads rise above the foliage.
The shorter stature of ‘Tara’ lends itself to foreground plantings, rock gardens, and borders and is phenomenal en mass. In Fall, foliage turns rust-red.
Best in full sun in well drained soils.
Drought tolerant & wildlife friendly once established.
