Magnolia hybrid Black Tulip™
Black Tulip™ is a Jury Hybrid Magnolia from New Zealand. Black Tulip™ features deep burgundy goblet shaped flowers 6″ across. Notably, it flowers young, with a long bloom period. Form is multi-branched, to 15 to 20 ft tall and 6 to 10 ft wide. What makes Black Tulip™ appear so dark on the tree is that the petals are so thick that no light can shine through.
Grow in full sun to part shade. Does not tolerate heavy, wet soils or drought. Water deeply in periods of low rainfall.
