Brunnera macrophylla Jack Frost
Brunnera ‘Jack Frost’ is a classic, award winning shade perennial, featuring large, heart shaped leaves with a frosty, silver topping contrasting with deep green veins. Bright blue forget-me-not-like flowers bloom in early spring. The basal foliage forms a dense and lush mound, which remains attractive throughout the growing season. Low maintenance, and resistant to most pests and diseases, including deer and rabbits. Excellent for woodland gardens.
Foliage Grows up to 12″ tall, with blooms reaching 18″. Prefers full shade, but tolerates partial shade if soil moisture is adequate. Slowly spreads by rhizome. Zone 3 to 8.
